There are TONS of giovanni forums out there. Also the Gio website has it's own costumer feedback which you can read. I've read and it's pretty mixed reviews. Some parts come damaged after delivery or some parts are missing, etc. They are either air cooled or oil cooled, neither of which I'd feel...
Yeah I spoke with TD on two different occasions and they said the same thing as many other insurance providers. Maybe it's a new rule for first time insurance on a bike within the last couple years, I don't know. TD had made it very clear to me that they will NOT insure my dirtbike without a...
Teeroy is correct about insurance. If you get into an accident or hurt someone else, your insurance company will drop you and you will be forced to settle the matter in court, without the help of your insurance company because although Your papers may say the bike is street legal, all they have...
I found that the biggest question from Insurance Brokers was whether I had a motorcycle licence. If you have a licence, it was going to cost $200 to insure a dirt bike for off highway use. Without the licence it's double that. That's from Blue Circle Insurance in Calgary. Most other insurers...
Ok i understand that you have to bleed the air in the forks but when do you have to repressurize them with fork fluid? How does all that air get built up in there anyways?
Thanks for your help guys, I never cleaned a carb before so I guess Ill have to pull out the manual if that's the case...
Hey Gang,
Anyone have any tips for a spring tune up and what I should be doing prior to taking my bike out after a long hybernation in my garage?
Thanks!
adjust the throttle a little. try turning it up. My yz250 dies after idleing for too long as well, so I just turn up the throttle a little untill she warms up.
Hey Dirt,
That thread was already created here.

From what I hear its good to go to UFA or Amsoil.
I have a handheld gps unit and luckly someone had already mapped out the trails for mclean so it comes in real handy. The first time I was out in Mclean I was riding all day because I couldn't find the parking lot again. You really have to go off the beaten path for some good bike trails. The...
My girl has shown some interest in my ride recently and would like to learn how. Any ideas on how to get my hands on a little bike to teach her the basics? I don't want to really buy one for her if she doesn't pick it up, maybe rent one? Any ideas would be great!
I own YZ250fx. In the manual it says to drain all the fluids. Including oil, rad, gas. I never heard of having to put it up on a stand for the winter. But souns like a great idea to relieve fork pressure. Thanks for the tip, LadyDirt.
I just started riding this year and I felt a good bike to start with was a 4 stroke 250. It's fast enough to keep me satisfied for a long time and it's easy to start and putt around in. Maintenance is super easy and I really love my bike. 08' yz250fx
I know some people who swear by KTM, they...
I went with BlueCircle. It's expensive as hell if you don't have a motorcycle licence. $600 a year. But it's theft fire damage etc. So it's good insurance and there isn't any hidden print where the bike has to be locked up or on your property. Theft is theft.
Hey YZgirl,
I think we have the same bike? The milky color is definately from bogging it. Give your oil a little smell and you'll smell the coolant if it is from leaking seals. Smells really sweet. Even when you run it you'll smell it real bad. It will burn a whitish color out the rear. I some...
