I agree, and that's comparing the lightest sled.
Or I can ride that pro and a 180lb rider can pilot that viper then they would be equal in weight :)
I would think the electric start XM would close the gap in weight a little more, the 4 stroke will always be heavier - now crank the boost to 280...
Here's two comparable sleds with equal mods both putting out around 200hp. The Viper is a 153 and the Pro is a 155. All fluids topped off and full fuel ready to ride.

Looking at the Sled Rumors 2015 Mtn Viper test it looks like there is no intercooler supplied with the Yamaha MPI kit. Might get expensive to upgrade. That dobek box is also a concern.....maybe not. I guess you can factor in that if you take the Mpi snowcheck deal you save $1500.00 on the kit.
Unless Im missing somthing its the same chasis as the M8-M1100 - So should handle at least better that the M1100 with better power....
And at the risk of upsetting the "S&M police" (that probably wont even buy a Viper) someone mentioned the Racers Edge with T-motion available for the Viper - I...
Odd I had 3 - 6.4 L F350 and not one rad leak or issue, all running custom 210 - 310hp tuning so IMHO the 6.4L is reliable.
Original poster I have a couple different delete exhausts 5" , and a tuner or 2 for real cheap laying around. I Have a couple 6.7L trucks now so don't need the 6.4L stuff...
Sled no question. My buddy had that decision - Turbo or Boobs - He went Boobs - got verry little personnel use and now getting an expensive divorce
Good luck on seeing it again. A co worker had his 900 RZR stolen last fall in Dawson all the RCMP could say was ATV theft is high in this area and you probably won't see it again - maybe a little more RCMP presence needed.
Not being a smartass but thought Your sleds can access the cabins already, your Presence sure did not stop the Yamaha from doing a little climb on the cabin already like you mentioned. I can not see the benefit of your presence in the bowls you mention. Every one has to use a trail at some point...
