Are you kidding me? Getting a little pissy cause it hasn't snowed in three weeks and it is minus a billion? I know cat and was joking around, he is very capable of finding snow.
I'm as honest as they come with conditions and they are the chits right now. Sorry bud but I cant make it snow...
You are correct. You cannot get to the mountain weather forecast from this app. You would need to create a shortcut on your phone to the main webpage...BUT you can access a great forecast based off of the MWF under the DETAILS tab when reading your local bulletin.
Hope this helps.
I have not had the app crash on me but there have been issues through the development and Avalanche Canada is constantly working on it. Trying to keep up with all the apple updates has been one main challenge that I am aware of.
Im a very big believer in Avalanche Canada and their products. Its not all about geeking out on safety. The more informed we are as riders, the better decisions we can make in the field. EVERY day I go out I want to find the best snow and push my sledding skills, but some days allow for it and...
Wow Ben, From the Frozen Pirate team, thank you very much for the kind words. Super stoked that you seem to have gotten a lot out of the class. Just by your message above and the words chosen, I can see you will be an asset to your group and others on the mountain!,
Thanks again!
Hey Don,
I have both a 165 and 175 850. I prefer the 165 so far. I dont believe you will miss the 174, but it will take you a while to get use to the chassis. The xm chassis was very stable but took a bit more to move. The 850 is extremely nimble.
Sundays storm brought just enough snow to provide some manageable access. Still very thin up top. Was raining lightly to 1200m. 105cms at 1950m. Strong winds, extensive transport and very little visibility.
Access is still pretty brutal and will only get worse until we get significant lower...
Lots of new snow out there and pics of people already scratching that itch. If you follow the Mountain Information Network at Avalanche Canada, you may also know that there has already been at least one close call with some large avalanches...
We will likely open that lower gate on Friday before someone decides to open it for us. The upper gate at 3km will remain closed. Id suggest bringing a good hand saw with you if you are the first people attempting the old trail. A few trees usually fall during the first snow.
Cam, give me a...
haha, love the stoke. Its been dropping well into freezing temps at night but warm and sunny during the day. Things look to change over this weekend if the forecast holds true.
Thanks again to the great folks at Mountain Sledder Snowmobile Magazine for helping get the word about regarding some pre-season preparations.
It's not all about shiny stickers and go fast parts!
Any other tips and suggestions from out in the S&M world? Please share...
