Uh-oh!!, so i think I've found the problem and I'll post a pic just to get some feedback. Is the 'stator' inside this housing?, could the recoil itself be ok as it's functioning fine at the moment?, any guesses as to what my parts cost might be?, and finally...there's not a lot of room in there...
Fuses good (are there more than two?), kill switch good (disconnected wiring harnesses at handlebar and still no spark), wiring all looks good. don't know how to check stator ( pictures would be great if anybody has some), I was wondering if headlight should come on a little when pulling cord?
just tried to fire up the sled today and got nothing!. have fresh fuel, and plugs are getting some, but when checked I got no spark from them. any ideas on where to start looking? started it with no problems in September. any and all suggestions are appreciated- thanks!!
So the weather reports say raining in Revy...how is it at the higher elevations? Heading up that way this weekend and trying to get a read on conditions. Also, is McRae actively being logged and if so, all days or just weekdays?

Safety....Be careful not to play the 'one-up' game too hard because it will usually lead to someone pushing their own envelope past their comfort limit and that's when accidents happen. Whatever you're riding, do it for your enjoyment of the sport and the people you are riding with.
I agree with jdkzrt, if you are doing work in the cold then go with the oil-less, but if your in a warmed area and you're not wanting the rig to be 'portable' then you might stick with oil. :twocents:
I suppose it comes down to whether your machine has 4x4 and enough weight to push the snow. My guess is that if it's 4wheel drive and you have low range you should be able to do it, I think I might give it a try but that's just my opinion I offer no warranty for my advice:d. At least you have...
