We need one of our GPS member to chime in with a track! I ride around Hinton a fair bit throughout the year and would love to visit this. I have Mystery Lake and Mystery Cabin marked on Google Maps, but how to get there??? I am not too sure. We usually camp just off of Hwy 40 Near the Gregg...
Great post. I have basically the same machine (plus a few mods) and find that the Zillas are okay, but am kind of curious as to what an Outlaw 2 would do. Just scared about busting axles like they are twizzlers though. I guess you need to pay to play!
You can still use the steering in manual mode without removing anything. I was told just to remove the fuse from the fusebox and you are good to go. Just an update on this... Took it out to Hinton this past weekend and rode some water and mud - had no issues. I truly believe its a connection...
I think that was the problem. The power steering is back! I was really scared due to the amount of issue with EPS that I have read about concerning the XP's. Thanks for the tip.
Calling all POPO owners!
I recently took my machine in to have the radiator relocated and snorkels done. Mission complete...When I went to pick it up, the power steering light was on and it was not working. I was told that a re-flash needed to be performed and that the dealership was the only...
Been out to Bruderheim multiple time this year. They are not shut down, but heavily patrolled by RCMP. Make sure you have all documents in order and have fun!
Even though the point has been neaten to death, I have to agree in regards to wearing a helmet at all times. You may be able to control what you are doing and where you go 90% of them time, but unfortunately other riders around you and their antics are out of your hands. What's a little sweat...
It was 450.00 just for the axle. I installed it myself.
Gorilla or Rhino will prob be my next purchase. I just think that the price I had to pay was dumb...
Just a quick note to ask (more like rant) to see if I was burned on the price of a stock axle. I had to replace my left front due to my own stupidity and paid 450.00 for one axle. This is from a Polaris dealer in Edmonton. Is this way out to lunch? (I sure thought it was) I could have bought...
Can't remember where I got this from, but here you go:

The Big Gun has nice sound and is an in-expensive way to get it. I currently use it on my 850xp. I have also used the Hot Seat Performance and it is nice as well, but is in the same price range as the HMF if not a little more. If the budget is not an option I would have to agree that the...
The wife's machine seems to be having issues with the 4x4 engaging as of late. We were riding in water a while back and it stopped working briefly. After riding it around for a while after it worked again. Went out this weekend and she was in some mud and had to throttle through it. The back...
I don't have the Touring model, but I do have the regular 2011 850 XP EPS. I am able to run 30" Zillas all around (9" in the front, and 11" in the rear) with no spacers or lift. I am not 100% sure if these two models are set-up the same way, but I think it's safe to assume you will be fine. I...
Agree with most everyone on here when they say try and centre yourself on the strip. I find that TI (Treasure Island) could be your best mesh between quality and $$$. MGM Grand is nice but it isn't in the heart of the strip. Stay away from Excalibur!!! But where we have been staying recently...
I have to admit the '11 850xp is considerably different from my '07 500 ha. The air box is in the front and looks like it would be a b*tch to work around with the rad there. Well thanks for all the advice...May need to consider a relocate as well...;-)
I have never had a snorkel on any of my machines in the past so I am a little in the dark here. I am getting into more aggressive riding conditions and have seriously thought of adding a snorkel system to my machine. I see that they are relatively in-expensive, but am wondering about the...
