You can install a low range trans into a scrambler from a polaris xplorer 400. I think it is from 1999 to 2001 400 xplorers. If you want more info go to gen3usa.com you'll have to dig through the posts but there are write ups on guys doing this mod. The years I mention are for 1999 and newer...

Does it mess up the steering when it's not working? If you were in a bind can you just remove the gearbox and have regular steering? I've never really looked very close at a power steering unit!
They must have made a few more changes than that as the seat high is 2" lower and the quad is 1" wider. Hope to see a test/ shootout in dirt wheels soon!
According to the Polaris site the new scrammy does NOT have ADC available on it, it does have enjine braking though. That combination might work better than the 850XP set up??
Yes... if you were coming from the north, from Bearberry head south on 584 7or8 km or so 584 will turn east, right there where the road turns east there is a gravel road going west, follow that gravel road there should be signs.
