Who knows? Even re-using the cover, cover bolts or weights might fall into the category of "repair" as apposed to "replace". Or they are just looking at specifically replacing the failed component.
Anyone who was left stranded on the mountain would be pissed, either a Polaris rider with a clutch in the belly pan or a Doo guy with and exploded chain case. The exploding chain cases sounds like it is an easy fix. The clutch might be too but I expect takes more time as re-engineering...
Just listed my 2018 Ram 3500 Laramie Megacab on Kijiji. Wow I have heard that you need to be watchful of scams but it has been rediculous. From the minute I listed it I started getting texts from all kinds of area codes. They all wanted me to go to their preferred website and get a history...
I use Forscan to recalibrate my Ford. It is a very powerful tool and the trial is free and $10 a year thereafter. It also lets you turn on and off many features. I turn off the annoying TPM warning as my winter wheels don't have them. Use a good qaulity OBD2 device to up load and download...
You have a point. It was only a bad decision if they did it to cut costs only. They did not seem to communicate very well why they switched out the parts.
Maybe it was an 890 they started with and they down-sized it to meet the competition and now they have the big one ready for when the market demands it? I think it would be stupid to design a motor without thinking about ways to upsize the power later. Most motors designs of the past started...
For Canada, they are probably just waiting on approval for the "data over voice frequecy" issue. Garmin got approval already for their handheld Rinos so it will get approved.
I don't think most do the belt drive for strickly performance increases. Most have been butt hurt with an exploded chaincase or like the ease of maintenance or belt changes, if required. Also some are looking for areas to reduce over-all weight. A little here and a little there, it all adds up...
Not true. They actually make belt drives becasue they lighter, simpler and cheaper to build. 2 gears and a belt, done. No tensioner, no cover and o-ring seal, no oil etc. Why do you think Doo went to the removable driveshaft design? It was not to make track changes easier for their...
I just paid $2.10 per litre of diesel, at the pumps in Golden. I felt violated but it was better than walking. I hope we can get rid of that carbon tax some day.
