Here's my 03 Grizzly 686 with a Raptor cam & lots of other extras ... and since these photo's I've bought different tires & some beadlock wheels. :PDT_daz:
Silverstar, have you done this yet or called the guy "AreWeThereYet" suggested ?
I did this mod to my 03 Grizz, I used a JE piston 10:75.1, Raptor Cam & raptor valve springs. Did it back in Aug of 09. Runs great & lots of torque.
I also did some mild porting & polishing. Did it help ?? I...
This is probably too late, but maybe something to think about if you get your rear diff squared up. :sadbanana:

I love my Grizz with the tracks on. I've noticed, I don't seem to ride as much in the summer now, since I enjoy the winters so much more. The tracks are awesome.
Mongrol has tracks on a Polaris...
Brute Force, if those tracks in the photo you posted are the ones yer buy'in, they aren't Mattracks. Those are Tatou 4S All Season tracks.
And they are a much better track than the Mattrack, especially in the snow.
Also, the tracks in the photo appear to have the rubber around the outside...

Nope .... but I don't have any muskeg or bogs to run thru either. I do run tracks in the winter and I've never had an axle problem .... Knock On Wood !! :common001:
Oh I wouldn't say that (Yer a loser) ... heck, I rode my Grizz for three or four years before I ever checked the belt  .... but since then, like you said & I do ... once a year is cheap ... besides, the belt will usually break when you're 20 miles back in "No-Man's Land" ... then...

But to answer some of your other questions:
1) Tracks & snowplow - Yes, you'll have to extend the forward tubes to plow with tracks. I extended mine 16 inches & I can rotate the blade to...
FYI ... this years model of Tatou 4s tracks have been having issues with the bogies wheels icing up causing the track to tighten up & slow or stop the bike.
Camoplast went from bogie wheels with a rubber compound on the rolling surface to all plastic ... so I would hold off on getting those.
I...
Liv'in at 4300 ft & do'in most my rid'in at about 6500 ft to 11,000 ft, right now I'm runn'in Permium gas, 91 octane ... and once in a while I throw some octane boost in for S&G's !

I had to winch outta that ice hole. The water was about waist deep (don't ask how I know it was that deep) .... the ice was about 2 or 3 inches thick, but crumbly .... I just couldn't get the back tracks to climb up on it ... them having no angle of attack ... I ended up winching out using my...
I've been stuck a couple times ... one time at the first of last season when there wasn't a base to the snow yet ... I pulled off the beaten path ... forgot to put it in 4-wheel drive ... OOPS !!
The other time, with still no base to the snow ... I just went down .... but both times, I did a...
Below are a couple real short video clips .....
Was out last Saturday & my GPS at one point read I did 31.6 mph. However, the average is somewhere between 11 to 22 mph, depending on snow conditions.
And here's a few from last year I put together ...
