How big target? I assume metal gong
Factory or hand loads?
I've had mine out to about 820 successfully . Tried a couple at 1000 but no spotter. Not sure where I was so quit at that distance .
Hornady ELD X.
Hand loads but the factory stuff was pretty good

What kind of velocities are you getting. I found them a little slow in my rifle. 2450fps.
2700 ish.. I think... my chronograph was not cooperating yesterday at all so I got pissed off and ordered a labradar...

Might have been a touch faster as I was shooting 1/2-3/4 MOA high from what the ballistics calculator was saying.

Targets are 3'x3' past 700, yes metal plate. These are factory S&B 140gr FMJ 6.5 Creed loads that are $25/box.

With this Bergara I've had no problem getting out to 700 with it on many occasions, that next 300 yards has been tricky. Yesterday was good conditions, had a spotter too which always helps. Once I figured out I was shooting high we were off to the races.

I've tried 4-5 times to get hits on that 1000 yard plate with no luck, or dancing bullets around it. Yesterday was a good day when it all came together.

I'll try and upload a video of the 1000 yard hits.

Ok thanks. I'll have to chrono a couple more boxes. They were slow and had a pretty big spread if I recall.

While this isn't a "super cool" gun. It's the newest in my collection. 410/22 over under. Split barrel.

Good grouse gun, and nice and compact to take on the quads
Be careful with that one. Buddy of mine had the exact same gun. put in a 22 round and when closing the action he had an out of battery detonation. A piece of shrapnel got imbedded in his nose. He had to go to a plastic surgeon in Edmonton to have it removed. Upon investigation it was determined that the firing pin was protruding, (did not return into the receiver completely). Keep a close eye on that firing pin and make sure it is full retracted before closing the action. He bought the gun at Canadian tie so he had to deal directly with Chiappa for warrantee. First he had to take it to a local gun smith to verify that the firing pin was defective Then sent it Back to Chiapp. Chiappa stood tall on this one and offered him an upgrade of his choice. Needless to say he steered away from the rimfire caliber

Can anyone explain the ban On the typhoon f12 shotgun. Understand it restricted to own over the 20 mm bore but correct me if I’m wrong, it’s 18.5 right. I can’t find anywhere why it’s banned beside it looks like a AR platform. Are we now gun racist because of its color and shape?

I found it on the firearms reference table. It's on the hit list. And yes they banned on looks.
