2017 let's all be responsible riders and clean as we go.

Fix the trail, pick up any items that don't belong in the area.

Close a gate if you open it.

Respect other riders.

If a tree has fallen on the main trail, stop and remove it. Don't make a new trail around it.

Let's all work together to keep our riding areas beautiful.

Post your 2017 trail repair and cleaning pictures.

I will have a gift package for the person who posts the best pictures of trail repairs and clean up. The package will include items used to clean up trails and do repairs.

Val, Kevin, Kayla and myself will be donating the gift.

Tyler will be picking the prize winner on June 24. This way a person will have it for July 1 st riding.

If you have an area that's easily accessible, (especially if it get lots of public attention) talk to your local 4-H club! Many of the clubs are tired of doing highway clean up year after year and want to do something new! Also if the area is in a natural area talk to the conservation office that covers your area, they're more than willing to help haul stuff away!

On that note , and seeing as spring is approaching fast it is the season of downed trees .
So ,be careful ripping up the trails first time in a new season .
ALSO , if you plan on cutting a tree downed across the trail .. Please !
Cut it at least 80 inchs wide , make it safe for everyone .... And machine .
There is nothing more dangerous than a tree sticking out to take someone's tire or body parts off ... Or worse !
Thanks to those who maintain the trails for all OHV and even our hiking and horseback friends ( who never Carry a chainsaw lol)
Also last year , we saw a lot of gates left open and some destroyed ,please shut them and respect them ....
Cows out on the railway tracks is not good at all !
Ride safe !

My chain-saw has been a smoking gun on every outting that is ready for the replacement chain at $18. Just started on my 3 L of chain-saw oil too.

I by my self took on 5 kms over 4 hrs too open up a historic right-a-way from 1954 logging operation.

Still a ways too go for its full length down this valley.

The plan is too have all us OHV/UTV rider get back onto the main trail so they don't have to ride the swamp edges too access the highlands.

Trial repairs are always an on going thing.

Carry a lite weight axe for the fast actions and a ARMY machete too quickly take out hanging buck-brush too.

Make these tools accessible for fast and pre-emtive strike.
If one encounters camp sites of garbage, do a quick burn off of burn-ables,,, then bag and pack-out the non-burn crap.

I'm joining the Big Horn ATV Group, but will remain on the area trails pals and I ride.

Area 1 is 48 X 78 kms,,, Area 2 is 22 X 26 kms,,, Area 3 is 7 X 33 kms.

All 3 of these areas have been in our umbrella for 37 years todate.

I hope the prize is a small Still chain-saw. Ha. No better prize then one that benefits the thread idea.

Pal Lem game too chip in where I can.

PS: Take pictures, explane the actions, and be proud of ones own actions as it benefits all of us.

Please remember that its party go'ers that leave these messes as us OHV/UTV folks respect our privileges of having our Alberta crown lands in pristine condition.

^^^ And Always add photos of best riding partners that truly enjoy being in the out-doors.

Make sure they are involved in Scenic backdrops.

And only post pictures of them having a good time.

Remember, if we can't do our part, then our Pals of like minded interest will miss out on the quality outings of our awesome Province that we wish too share with all user groups.

PS: Don't let your friends run the chain-saw until they learn how to swing the axe. LOL.

There are some folks on YouTube that are putting up videos that non OHV users are using against "all" of us that use any kind of unit.

PLEASE PLEASE think twice if not many more time before engaging in these "rip & roar" activities from this day forth,,, others folks action reflect on "all" of us, and the continuing attack & on slot too our crown lands will deem the powers too be at harsh actions too every unit out there that burns gas.

Its unforchanet that these videos were posted, more saddening that OHV folks were Ballz enough too participate in these kinds of actions in the first place.

This mentality needs to come too an end so "all" of us riders in Alberta, Canada, and the Americas can show a good standing with in the groups of other "user groups" that use these lands "along" side of us.

Don't get me right or wrong as I'm only sharing in ideas that folks can choose from,,, and I'll never use the shameful word "that sounds like could, but starts with a (sh) less the (c). Not nor ever my place to tell people what they too do as I'm not them as they ain't me.

Our small town has 3 folks if not a hand-full that want all OHV'S totally ban from Alberta and Canada, and 2 of them have been in contact with the GOA on and off since last year.

Remember, everyone has a cell phone that come with cameras and capable of taking videos. these folks will be out there in the West country watching and hopping too get more proof of folks on units that "they" do not agree with.

Best practic plan is too wave, be friendly, kind, considerate, if time permits stop too say hello, ask if they need anything, let them pass or seek permission too move on before or after.

Again, """ This is just an idea(s) that many many of us already do """ and I and others here in Alberta, Snow & Mud, other power sports forums, out-door hikers, horse-folks would like at this time to """THANK YOU ALL FOR THE RESPECT GIVEN AT THIS POINT AND TIME""" and the continuation of more it in the years to follow.
I personally thankyou all too as it helps us all as ambassadors too the activities of the GREAT OUTDOORS.

Pal Don a proud vocal supporter of S&M brothers and sisters in common goal.

And a face that only a mother can love
