We picked up our Nytro Black on the September long weekend from Skinz, a few hiccups at the border but we made it home with the sled. Our's was a 2008 MTX, retrofitted into a Black.
We'll have it at the ASA show in Edmonton and the SSA show in Saskatoon, swing by and check it out in person, pictures do not do it justice.

Steve I am just checking on the weight I have a number in my head but I want to be double sure before I post it up.

Jan

Steve the weight on the Black is 540ish wet. The handling on in should be improved tremendously the new front suspension moved it forward 4 and a half inches it also has a new rear suspension and track.

Thanks Johni T!!!!

Actually the only thing that is left stock is the motor...LOL!

It has...

C&A Pro MTX skis
Front Suspension-super chromed with the Fox Evol R shocks
Float Plate
Steering Post with 2 in riser
Freeride Handlebars
Freeride Seat
Airframe Hood-super chromed
Airframe Boards-super chromed
New Skinz front and rear bumpers
KMOD Suspension with the Raptor shocks
Tunnel rack
Reinforced and extra gusseting on the sub frame
Camoplast Extreme Track
Numerous powder coated parts
Ceramic coated header
Under tunnel exhaust this had to be shortened by 10 inches to accomodate the new suspension
LED lighting kit with custom aluminum tubing under tunnel
OFT racing wheels and 2 wheel axle kit

We have talked to Skinz about coming out with a "Project Black" kit and a few different versions are in the works from our understanding what that will look like we aren't sure at this point.

What is so special about this sled??? It was mentioned it was the only one in canada?? Looks like the way most full blown yamaha riders build their sleds maybe with different manufacturers of aftermarket parts but still the same parts get replaced,, just wondering what is special?? Thanks

I an interested to here how that sled works with all those mods, see how it compares to 800's. Most guys that do all that to there sleds put turbos on to, I like that it's not boosted! Nice ride!

Hi Lightening this sled is the only Nytro Project Black sled in Canada in fact there are only 5 in the entire world right now. What truly sets this sled apart is the Concept front suspension that Skinz has come up with, this is an industry leading revolutionizing component that will better balance the sled back to front and makes it so much easier to handle. This component combined with the other parts such as reinforcing the subframe and putting extra gusseting on it, changing up the steering post putting a mesh hood on to take care of the heating issues, using Airframe running boards to clear the snow while maintaining rider ergonomics, partnering the new freeride handlebars and seat together are what makes this sled unique. Each of these parts individually do not set the sled apart it’s when you put them all together with the new Concept front end that you raise the bar and deliver to the consume a whole new sled with a totally different riding style. Partnering with the best of the best such as OFT Racing, KMOD, Timbersled, Camoplast and C&A just to name a few and bringing all this together in one package on one sled has never been done before by an aftermarket manufacturer. It has been left up to individuals, we are now bringing this to market and saying here is the potential..here is what can be done. As Skinz told me by putting this complete package together “all the excuses are gone” this is a totally rideable sled on par with anything else that is on the market today. I do have a “Project Black” DVD available that I can send out to you if you are interested that goes into more detail about the sled.

I can hardly wait to ride it to give you that report!!! Having to wait until December to ride it is going to be some kind of cruel and unusual punishment! The people that I ride with like that it's not boosted too....I get myself into enough trouble without adding boost to the mix!!!
