Hi there, I am looking at buying an xm for the up coming season.
I was riding a 146 this year and was planning on buying a 154 this coming season. However I have found a great deal on a 163 and I am wondering if there's a huge difference? I am more of a free rider. Jumps trees pow ect not just chutes all day. Your input would be greatly appreciated

Not a lot of difference IMO 163 will work good for you, 154 might be funner though, depending on how much jumping you're doing.

IMO, the longer the track, the easier it is to bend the rails with jumps and aggressive riding. I agree with lilduke tho' in that there is not a lot of difference in the two but you will notice a difference going from a 146 to 163. Guys still make the 163 handle like a short track.

I definitely notice the difference. For boondocking and climbing the 163 is much better. I really miss the squirrelyness of the 154 though. Not as "effective", but alot more fun on a 154 IMHO.

I agree with this. I got a 163 and miss my 154! the 163 is nice when there is no bottom to the snow, but I don't get out as much as I like and don't see those days much. For he other days the 154 is much more fun in the trees and just playing around. I find my 163 works to good lol, it goes every where with no problems. When I get a new sled I am going to get a 154
