Its a little small for moving large amounts of snow but might be cool for a secondary shovel. If you carry one.(i don't)

5.5lbs holly chit thats heavy.... doesnt sound like a backcountry tool to me

I like the shovels with probe in handle seem quick and easy to pull out and come in under 2lbs some like the saw in shovel handle but I rarely remove my shovel from my pack so this is no good for me so I carry small folding saw in my side pak pocket.

i think im just drawn to it because its a blade and a saw on each side of the shovel. plus it looks awesome haha
