wondering about oil change

i was wondering if i should bother changing my oil in my quad or not. I only put a couple of hundred kms on my quad last season and that was on a fresh oil change filter plugs oil, anyway it sat all winter now i am wanting to go quadding do you think i should change the oil again because of sitting over the winter or not bother and just ride it.

I always changed my oil every 400k, and tried to used it over the winter. If not, I would have parked it with fresh oil in it.
JMO...... for piece of mind and what it cost to just change the oil. I would ;)

as far as shelf life goes oil is great, check it, if its dark change it, if its still transparent use it a bit more then change it. i never let my oil get dark, but i dont bother changing it if it sat all winter with no use on somewhat fresh oil unless im bored or pissed at the wife and i go in the garage to do it to get away.

Agreed just change it, over the winter that oil would of started to break down ecspecially if you don't use synthetic. For the time and cost of changing the oil u might as well do it. Also gives a guy another excuse to have a few beers as well.

Baa ha haa... So that's why our vehicles have fresh oil all the time..... :p
