I was wondering are viper winches and superwinches any good? Also I was woundering do they bolt on to the winch mount on the RZR? I was thinking of getting a 4500 pound winch but the warn is pricy.

If you go with the Viper kit it comes with the mount, snatch block, line stopper at just about 1/2 the price of a comparable warn.

ya i was told $800 for the 4000 pound warn winch installed by one dealer. I pick up my 2010 RZR LE next week down in edmonton, but im thinking ill by a viper winch and install it myself and save myself a couple hundred bucks. I seen 4500 viper kits on ebay for $260, I just hope they are a good reliable winch.

x2, I've had my 4000lb viper for 3 years now, the only thing I've had to do was replace the cable for synthetic, well worth the money on the viper, I will never waist my money on a warn.

BTW, 4000lb is more than enough, I've never had to use my snatch block and I've been burried deep in skeg with it.

I've heard lots of good about the viper, stay away from the Polaris winch, I've seen 2 now with the drum broke in half, mine was one of them POS.

Would a viper be a direct replacment, wiring wise to a warn? I have a wirless winch controler set up that i would like to keep using not change everything out. I wouldn't think it would be problem as they are both 12 volt systems, any comments.

Not sure if the mount is the same but, i dont see why it wouldn't work.

my big beef with the warn as it is the same price as their 8000 pound truck winches, i dont get their pricing, had 2 warns fail and a cheap one fail, i personally seen a couple really good warns but all in all i personally dont believe any of the atv winches are up to the quality of the big name winches that go and jeeps and pickups
