winch grease

I took the cable drum out of my Warn winch last night to un tangle a steel cable and it needed cleaning but also needed to be re packed with grease. What grease do the members recommend ? I used all purpose bearing grease but I am not sure how it is going to stand up against water ( from the mud holes) .

I packed mine last year with bearing greese and it holding up ok.
