- ok just a thought if there is anyone on here that owns a liquor store. I know that you are not getting all the business you could be... How many members are on here... How many holidays in a yr...how many weekends.....birthdays......days that end in y....

I was just doing my christmas shopping at one of the many liquor stores in town...(where everyone knows your name..lol) and im thinking....hmmm i wish to give my business to someone who s employees are not sitting on the counter talking about the bitch from last weekend or where ever she was...plus i ligitimately think i would qualify for a frequent customer discount...

Gibbies special rare...68.00 abottle... Wow...is there a case discount i ask... I dont know? Should be volume discounts? Do i have to drive to some no name depot to get service.... I say no...im going see if my s & m peeps have connections.. Dont post if you dont want to but send me a pm... Is you would like a good customer and accept cash / visa what every works...
Merry christmas, and safe holidays and a happy new yr to all....

Actually Terry the liquor store by Wal Mart in Bonnyville will give you a discount per case of Gibbies Finest Rare, 10%, wife bought me one there on the way through last year.

is it worth owning a liquor store? big $$ inventory... I was kinda interested in looking into one

I always see those people who work 12 hours a day 9 days a week so doesnt sound too profitable but maybe in a good location,, they seem cheap to buy but all the inventory must kill some profits

I don't actually hold the title, but I made many a mortgage payment on the Main Street liquor store here in Rimbey.

Sorry Dale I hate to inform you but Bonnyville Doesn't have a Walmart. You must be thinking of Cold Lake.

Woodys liquor store in Winfield is owned by Shawn "woody" from hunting high with Shawn and Corey on wild tv if a any of you know the show. Good guys. Will always support them. Their pub is good stuff too!

Did have a friend driving back from Mexico last winter so while I was there I did a Texas micki and 3 40's of Bacardi white rum. 50 Canadian for the Texas and 8 bucks each for the 40's. Polished off all 3 40's this Summer having pool parties but am yet to crack the Texas. Hoping to get a Texas of spiced this winter

Sorry my mistake it was Cold Lake, had to ask the wife just to be sure. She laughed and said it was a good thing she was driving that day.

i have thought a couple times of going into the liquore store buisness, the GBCA alone would make be big $ i sure......then i could set up a once a month case lot run to b-ville in exchange for parts and service......going to have ot put more thought into this

may as well sit down and drink on it. i see a fortune just waiting to happen, although ian may break the bank.

when the wife and i first hooked up she was managing three liqour stores in edmonton. i can tell you for sure the pennies are few and far between in that buisiness, very low markup that gets to the owner most of it is eaten up in taxes.
that being said though with the higher than average volume of the gbca it could be profitable just remember no credit charging for ian
