Was checking the ol scud out today after the weekend rides and see that I have a broken drop bracket again, there was a thread somewhere with some good suggestions and a pic of some kick ass looking brackets that look like they could take some abuse. I can't find it for anything, been searching for the last hour. Anyone have any suggestions for some good aftermarket drop brackets?

Smitty makes some nice ones. I remember seeing some of his on a thread regarding rear suspension issues back in 2008.

Racers Edge makes the best looking ones i have seen. I wish i would have got a set of those before i broke my factory ones both in half. I now have a set of timbersleds because i needed full replacement. They are very beefy, look decent and are now on their 4th season. I would bet anything is better than the junk factory ones.

yeah, I saw those but they are a reinforcement for your existing drop brackets. mine have both broken and were removed, replaced them with a set I made myself but apparently they were still not stiff enough. I need complete replacements, thanks though, I appreciate the info!

Baker's go over the existing brackets and add quite a bit of strength for anyone else looking for a fix.
