Looking at purging out a whole bunch of sled parts inventory, so I can more effective in the winter:d. So do you search sites like this , or kijji in your local area, or ebay ca or com. Just curious, so I can move as much effectively as possible before it gets busy in november.

posnick, sorry about not getting back to you. But I guess I'll have to start responding back to ever enquiry to say "no I don't have it". And just hope at the same time that everyone that I do reply to saying that "yes I do have it" and they say they want it, follows thru. Thus purging inventory to a smaller inventory. Thanks for your honesty.

mxz sledhead aka gtjensen@telus.net, received your email at 7:10 pm on Aug 26/10, replied back to your email thru platinum.ca on Aug 26/10 at 7:22pm, 12 minutes later with my phone number, saying the cover is on my counter, where's the phone call?

ah the internet, here's a question, when i say call me in a ad, why does everyone e-mail/p'm me, then complain, yet i have a toll-free number for north america?

hopefully wally in calgary will thank me . and yes i'm still smiling.;)

Hey snowmobilerecyclers
I've bought some parts from you before, just wanted to give you props for good service and a huge parts inventory. I'd have to agree that just phoning you to explain what your looking for is a lot more productive. I'll come by to see if you've got anything I feel I can't live without. Only places I look for parts is Snowest, S&M, and Kijiji.

I don't think it was necessary to post their email address in your response. Usually when I provide my email address to any business they state that this info will not be shared.
I have also emailed you for parts and did not receive a response. I assume that if there is an email address on a website that it is an acceptable method of contact. If there isn't an email address then I continue my search and look for a business that suits me. I prefer to use email or pm's because I'm at work during business hours and prefer not to call around for sled parts. I use online contact methods with all of the places I search for parts or accessories. I also prefer not to phone even if it is a toll free number because I don't want to leave a voicemail and eventually play phone tag because I don't want my phone ringing at work.

As for your question.

I search this site, snowest, ebay and kijiji. I typically search the net and what ever I find I'll look to see what the shipping policy is as far as UPS, USPS, etc.

X2 - never had an issue with the phone. I just call again a little later.

snowmobilerecyclers - up to you but maybe you want to post shop hours? I think it might help some people understand or at least provide times when to call. I've been there a few times :D - Its really not what most peeps think. I've got no problem picking up the phone and dialing or stopping by, yeah it might be a little out of the way compared to Bow Cycle, Ralphs etc but I don't think there has been more than a time of two that I have been there and not found what I needed though. Like a tie rod end that you spent considerable time looking for even though it was a $5 part and you might have missed a $25 phone call while you were searching, or the anti-stab wheels, or the 9" wheels, etc etc.

I think that a lot of peeps don't understand how much volunteering you do either, for the benefit of our sport. So yeah, if you don't call me back within 1 hr I have no problem calling back, because I know that you might be out getting buried alive for the search and rescue dog, donating to a sled related cause, etc etc.

Thanks for keeping my sleds on the snow all these years.

spuds, only ever had i nodwell sled, was a blue one and it even came with extra wooden cleats, still have lots of new oem jlo/hirth/sachs pistons. some et parts, don't touch quad or bike parts (there's lots of those guys around and don't have the room). here's a picture from a few years back with old sleds lined up before the building was erected.

modman, good point should post hours, just haven't figured out what hours i should commit too ;). and i really take phone call requests more seriously. and personally visits r the best bs sessions ever, unless we're riding.:d

If you have any 80/81/82 Sportfire or Trailfire parts, I might be interested.

(Seat/hood/windshield/fuel tank/cubby door/guage panel, etc.)

PM me if you have any parts.
