Hey guys, i got a '09 800 Rev Xp. Brought it back from the dealership about 6 weeks ago for the 10 hour service. Had it running when it got home, and couple days ago tried to get it going would start and die right aways.changed the plugs and fired right up. took it for a 40 min rip, burnt all the old fuel out and put in fresh stuff.yesterday went to go fire it up and nothing! not even a little sputter, changed the plugs again today but still nothing, dunno what to do, any suggestions?

yes its got spark i just checked. um fuel seems to be going through. so it should be at least firing right??! but one thing seems odd on my brothers mxz when you pull the starter rope the lights on the dash light up each time right but mine isnt doing that. does that mean something or not? any input would be greatly appreciated.

well i just found out that the mxz dash lights will show when your pulling it over because its an '08. and my summit is an '09 so the shop mechanic says mine will only show once its fired up.

relays???? your electrical system should have a 20 amp fuse then it should close the circut on relay #1 which gives spark once the rpm reaches 800 it will activate relay 2 and 3 which is dash and lights. if you have spark.. do you hear the fuel pump charging up. if you have a battery you can hit the start rer button and it should charge the pump if not when you pull the cord you should hear it as well. dirty injectors??? i have taken the fuel line clips off and disconnected the fuel line from the injectors and pulled it over it pumped very little fuel so i pulled the fuel filter off and it was full of water, cleaned it and its been running ever since. hope this helps you out.

Thanks Jemeda11, i got it going :) ended up dragging it into the shop and thawing it out and cleaned the plugs up and kept on pulling and slowly she fired up. but after riding for a bit it seems to just bog right out :( so i put in some fuel stabalizer and noticed i got ice/snow build up at the air filter so back in the shop thaw it out again and see what it does.at least now its running:)

Sounds like water in your tank.??
It was cold out, and bringing it into a shop to warm up condenses the vapour and so forth.

My air filter always gets ice/snow build up, it's annoying, 16 more days till a heated garage.

Usually it is spark or fuel. Pull your plugs and put a teaspoon of gas in each cylinder. If it fires you have a fuel delivery issue. First thing I do is put about double the recommended gasline antifreeze. You may need to do the gas in the cylider a few times to draw the alcoholthrough the blockage. If its spark or the DESS and you just had the 10 hr check up I would take it back to the dealer as I assume it is still under warranty unless you are electrically inclined which I am not. :twocents:

If you have water in your fuel filter better change it also it stops water and when it's full it stops fuel aswell
