what to do with a wrecked quad?

so my buddie just put in $3500 bucks into his 2007 preditor 500 and last weekend the cam chain piled up and did some damage. the dealer wants $3000 to fix it (parts and servis) he would like to sell it off to a salvage yard or somthing of wich. does anyone know were they would do that? he is located in st.albert.

E-bay is also a great place to sell parts if he wants to part it out himself. I think these guys make good money doing this!! I have bought a lot of parts on there....
