in winter of 1978 I picked my wife up on a Polaris TX 650 that I just bought from a good freind & oval racer, the late Glen Shaw , it was already outdated by the new Liquid cooled racers.
she lived 1/4 miles from a little lake about a 1/2 mile by 500 yds wide with a beaver dam along one side.
it was dusk, this Ole Polaris had no light or mufflers.but they did have long seats.
so she climbed on back of this Noisy Monster and away we went, I took it easy on first lap of the lake, and then we jumped the beaver dam at about 60.
She was still hanging on, and still is today after 32 yrs of sledding and quading.
