What octane to run in a 91 phazer.

Recently bought a 91 phazer wondering what octane is recommended for this snowmobile. Having a hard time finding any good information on what to run.

Premium is best. all my small motors get premium. never have any starting issues in fall with sleds.spring w bikes.

91 is best, the motor is fan cooled so you want to run a fuel that will keep the top end cool and 91 will do that. You can run 87 but it will run hotter at the top end as 87 fuel burns hotter. One way you can determine the fuel is to try one for a day and check the plugs, if your jetted on the rich side you probably could run 87.
My go too fuel has always been 91

Premium is the choice most likely not to have ethanol. But no promises. 94 premium has higher octane due to more ethanol added.

I wanna join in on this 2yr old thread also,.. non ethanol 91 because that year of sled won't have ethanol compatible fuel lines.

Tank so small run premium and cost pennies more and sled will be happy

All this good advice two years late. Probably burned the top end down on the Phaser and has a newer sled by now.

sled is now doing 100mph on the flats, confirmed by a favorite member a yr or two ago. the premium got it there.
