whats your favorute type of sledding? My favorite is backcountry riding, but only near the mountains twice a year. i recently started to go creek riding and have fell in love with it! the tighter corridors and higher banks allow for great carving in the deeper powder even on the praries. i made 3 miles in a 1 mile section near our farm. the freedom is amazing.

I love mountain riding but only get there about 3 times a year. So around home it would have to be tree lines and smashing drifts.

DEEP SNOW, Not to much into highmarking, Love the Deep or somewhat deep untracked snow, hate ditch banging but love banging down cutlines. And if there is now DEEP Snow around a FRESH GROOMED TRAIL is pretty kick ass too! (trails around whitecourt have lots of hilly terrain to take jumps)

I have some pretty big mountains within 30 miles. That is what we ride. My favorite are powder days, Feb and March seem to be the best around here. The snow sticks around into June usually, and my riding buddy loves to climb. Once the snow is set up, and safer, we climb some pretty wicked chutes and do a lot of high marking.

The pow is my deal, the climbing his, we make a pretty good team that way.

Trails are the devil, I grew up riding in Minnesota on trails and in ditches. 6 inches of snow was enough to ride. Now we wait for 5 feet before we have enough base:) Exploring the vast mountain ranges around here is my favorite thing to do in the whole world, and I have done some pretty fun stuff.
