But is it like a price guarantee in case the price goes up or something else may happen?

It is usually that you get the sled with more options. You can't buy these sleds off the showroom floor in the fall unless someone who snowchecked one does not take it. With Ski-doo it's the difference between the Everest and the X model.

ok but what really what does the word snowcheck come from? We all know (now) it is to order around spring time for next fall but why the word snowcheck? Does it mean I'm going to bring a check in next fall or when it snows??:d

snowcheck programs are disigned for the guy who wants the greatest sled from that model and also one that is a limited build so as not to be the same as all others on the snow. Totally worth it. Drop the early cash and do it.

As far as I know that is true. You usually get an incentive thrown in too like an extra year of warranty for free and maybe some different colors and options available.

Is it checking for snow to make sure you won't be riding your sled on dirt or mud?

Actually BRP had a deal a few years ago that if you didn't get a certain amount of the average snowfall by a certain date you got a $1000 back from them. I think that was a one time deal though.

As stated,an incentive from BRP,you get a 3 yr engine warranty on the X model but not the Freeride. They claim they'll need extra incentive to sell the X,not a freeride at 17,000 they wont. But a good incentive for sure all the same.

All the coments are corect. its a pre order with some value added options.

the manufacturer puts together a value added package so you get $1000 in goodies for $500 for example, you can not buy a snowcheck or pre order unless you order one or someone cancels,,,,

unfortuneatly the manufacturer does this to pre sell there new model year sled and to gauge manufacturing levels otherwise NO one would order a new sled in Spring we would all wait until fall corect.

sales promotions are always geared for the business, therefore the consumer gets a little something as well its good for everyone.... hence the best model is the snowcheck so it gives us a reason to order NOW not later

make sense,,, its all business
