I am betting condensation. With a tarp on and no plugs you could get water condensing and then running into the plug holes. Was it stored indoors or out?

stored outside ,from what I've come up with ,is it possible for water to accumulate in the tank from humidity and push it's way thru the pump from outside summer heat ,enter the pulse line and then into the crankcase?plugs were out during cranking ,they were in during storage .Sorry for the confusion there .
