Hey all!

my sled cover is dirty as can be. Can you wash these? I'm scared to put it in my washing machine and dryer... Does anyone on here know if you can wash these in a regular washing machine or how to wash these? Thanks!

I usually take my sled and cover to the carwash and rinse them both off then leave the cover on my sled to dry for a day or two in the garage. Make sure you take it off after a couple days because it may mold on the inside if it's still wet in there.

Awesome! Thanks guys! I was going to bring it to the car wash too. Just wasnt sure the best method. Ok my computer is insiting that "Snowmobile Chat" section is an "attack site" so it's making it a PITA to get to.

Just started getting that message this am as well is this an Apple thing?

Something I do with my tarp is pressure wash off, wash in big machine and then wash in goretex treatment, helps keep more of the schmag off of my baby.

I don't think so because I'm on my work PC...kind of worrying me though...

cool! Thanks! I think the washdown at a car wash first is a good idea, then wash at home

cold water in the washing machine.been doing that for a long time...

perfect! Thanks a bunch!

We've done both, taking it to the carwash and spraying it, leaving it on to dry. Bad part of this is you push the dirt through it to your sled. :(

Our preferred method is the large capacity washers at the laundry-mat...then bring them home, throw them over something to dry or we toss them for about 20 mins in the big dryers, but we don't overdry them...not sure if it matters, but we err on the side of caution on the drying part. ;)

Rawdy, I washed mine on gentle, cold water, and very little soap...then hang dry! Looks brand new!

I think I'll go the laundromat route. That way won't screw up anything at my place :D Thanks all!

We do ours at work in the washing machine...but I think you are on the right track, My wife would killll me if she caught me using our washer for that. Just like the time I used our oven to heat up a bearing housing!...it didnt go well! A little oil smell in the next roast never hurt anyone imo!

When I used to have a cover for my sled. I would wait for a warmer day, wash it outside & sun dry it. To prevent mold, also not leave it out tooo long to sun fade the cover, even though. that is what it is for.

Not to be fancy dany or anything, I have washed mine on the sled, on the floor in the car wash, but once a year in the spring i take mine to the dry cleaners. Yes Im AFU but that 23.00 was the best money spent. 100% clean no sand or grime. Once per year and then store for the summer on the sled.
