Camoplast NEW warranty:
Camoplast Warranty Statement

The warranty period on new Camoplast tracks is 12 months starting from the date of delivery to the first customer or 24 months of the date of manufacturing whichever occurs first.
Camoplast warrants new snowmobile rubber tracks manufactured by Camoplast (“Product”) to be free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty extends only to the first customer purchaser, and is not transferable. *The warranty is subject to the following:
Warranty Period: The Warranty Period on new Camoplast Trail & Mountain Rubber Tracks is twenty-four (24) months starting from the date of delivery to the first customer. The Warranty Period on new Camoplast “Pre-Holed” Rubber Tracks is twelve (12) months starting from the date of delivery to the first customer.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE. REMEDIES UNDER THIS WARRANTY ARE LIMITED TO THE PROVISION OF MATERIAL AS SPECIFIED HEREIN.

So Camoplast ships to one of their few distributors, then it's shipped to the dealer who sells it to the final customer. So now there have been 3 owners of this track the 3rd being final customer who's sled it's installed on.
Your dealer you bought it from has had it in stock for 18 months and it was at the suppliers 6 months before that. Now we are over the 24 month period from manufacturing date. So as the warranty reads final customer has no warranty because he bought old stock !!

This doesn't affect us @ TRACKS CANADA as our stock rotates so fast around here. But what about the small dealership that doesn't do the volume and the local customer wants to buy there. When the dealership bought from the wholesaler, the sales rep told the dealership "customer gets a 12 month warranty"
I doubt 1% of places in North America selling tracks know how to read the serial # to find out when track was "manufactured" This is a real disadvantage to final customer !!!

Fellow sledders "ask questions before you buy" so you won't be disappointed later.
