Vega(Klondike) Ferry

The ferry is not running due to the Athabasca river being to high!I'll keep you guys posted so no one makes the drive to Vega then you can't cross!

Thanks for the heads up. I just found the alberta traval advisories. ...should be able to watch this page for an announcement when it opens up.

Why would the ferry be closed cause the river is too high? has the water come up so much that it affects the approach of the on and off ramps? or is the water too fast currently?

I was down at the river yesterday and that thing is moving!There's trees and crap going down it!I haven't seen it this high for years so it might be closed for the weekend yet.
