This is the most crucial time of year for us here at VARDA. August marks the start of our month long sponsorship and marketing drive. This support allows us to operate and do what we do on a yearly basis.

As we look ahead to the 2024-2025 season, the Valemount and Area Recreation Development Association (VARDA) is reaching out to valued stakeholders to join us in a renewed effort to support and elevate Valemount and the Robson Valley’s outdoor based recreation and tourism opportunities. Valemount and the Robson Valley have long been known as a mecca for outdoor adventure and VARDA has been creating opportunity since well before our incorporation in 2004.
Over the past few years, our area has faced significant challenges due to three consecutive unfavorable winters and industrial projects that have impacted our operations and infrastructure. Despite these setbacks, our commitment to building and maintaining an active, and thriving community remains focused. VARDA works to diversify the recreational offerings for our community, and we are now looked at as more than just a winter destination. Valemount is becoming a year-round adventure playground and together we can be successful.
The support from local and industry related sponsors is crucial in enabling us to maintain and improve existing facilities, create new recreational opportunities, and promote the vibrant recreational tourism sector in our area. Sponsorship funds play a pivotal role in ensuring that we can overcome the challenges we face and keep our community’s recreation opportunities thriving. We simply cannot do this alone and VARDA relies on stakeholder support to operate.
VARDA’s efforts benefit the economy of the recreation-based sectors ranging from sales and service, adventure tourism, hospitality and accommodation. We are a trusted source of all things recreation, and with a strong membership and respected voice, our reach is far.
There is a sponsorship level for everyone. In return for your support, VARDA offers a range of enticing benefits tailored to the adventure tourism sector. Enclosed with this letter is our 2024-2025 sponsorship package, detailing various levels of sponsorship and the benefits associated with each. We invite you to review the package and consider how you can contribute to our mission. Your support will not only help us continue our essential work but also enhance your organization’s visibility and connection within our community.
