Upper/Lower Ball Joints - 1997 Big Bear YFM

I lent my 1997 Big Bear YFM Yamaha to a pal while I was trying out a new Polaris. When I got back after the week was done, the left front wheel on the Big Bear had fallen off because of a broken Upper Ball joint. I was going to sell it but I have since been told that I can only buy the upper/lower ball joints along with the Control arms at a cost of $300.00 each. That's $1200.00 if I have to replace them all. The ATV is not even worth that much!

Does anyone know if I can find a Upper/Lower ball joint kit for this machine with out buying the Control arms???? What's up with that??

I noticed on E-bay that there are kits around. I'm waiting for answers to my e-mails to two different suppliers.

All Balls racing makes a upper and lower kit. U can get them thru any dealer that deals with parts canada.
