Hello!
Late plans came up and I am going to Two Hills tomorrow and was wondering how the trail is near Duverny called the Cougar Patch?

I have never been on the trail and thought I would take my Dad for a ride and maybe look for some grouse.
Is the trail ok for us to go alone? I have a 2-up machine.
Or is it best not to go unless we have another quad with us?

I know it is late to get any responses but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
Thanks in advance.

I would go with another quad this way if there's trouble you can get back. I was there last year and trail was pretty steep at a few spots. Had a few fellows who rolled over backward that day. Not good. Also as you get close to the end there's a big washout. Steep climb there also. Nice cabin at the end of trail. I don't know if trail was ever repaired. Good luck and be careful.

Sounds like I will leave the quad at home this trip.

A few key points from your post helped me make this decision :):
go with another quad
trouble
pretty steep
rolled over backward
Not good
big washout
Good luck and be careful

I'll have to try this ride when I am not alone or with riders that have been on the trail before.

Thanks

i try to hit this trail a couple of times a yr.... i like the scenery along the N.Sask.

there is a cabin at the end of the trail with a firepit. bring some dogs or smokies. bearclaw marks on the windows (adds suspense haha)

i was told that the washout was tooken care of. its not bad for 4x4s but sport quads have issues with it

Hey, i was at cougar patch on my dirt bike with 9 other quads this Saturday and i made it threw real easy, on the bottom end of it, its still is muddy but i do suggest you take someone with that has a winch, if you take the top trail its smooth riding, some mud spots. Basically at the end of September and most of October seems the best time to go.

Well I am back from Two Hills and didn't take the quad.
Didn't see any Grouse either.
Lucked out and got a couple of snow geese.
Had a coyote walk within 25 feet of the truck looking for mice.

Great day to be out and about.

I'll be heading out there in November for a few days.
I'll check back and see if anyone is going out and I might join them.
As long as the weather is ok.
