Tripple

The last time i was at Clemina there was a guy that had one hell of a rocket. He said he had a tripple. I tried not to look to stupid and said nice motor but didn't have a clue what he was talking about.

Could someone please fill me in.

Never feel stupid.....just ask....most sledders would have lifted the hood and let you have a look...........Some would do a little bragging, which would of been to your benefit. We all start some where.........and by chance if the person does make you feel stupid.....fawk him.......your in the MTNS. SLEDDING it's easy to get over.:d

Not necessarily. Triple refers to the # of cylinders. A triple-triple is a triple piped 3-cylinder (one pipe for each cylinder, all separate pipes). A triple-single is a single piped 3-cylinder (think of a pipe from each cylinder into a "y" pipe header into a single pipe exiting out the bellypan).

The CK3 chassis Formula 700's were a 700 triple single, the Mach 1's were a triple triple.

Jsut becuz he said it was a triple means nothing really though. They made triples in 600 cc to 1800 cc displacements so knowing the displacement is the key.

he seemed to be running crazy power in his xp, without turbo's or juice. It seems like the way i would like to go. I'm the kinda guy that likes to pull wrenches in a heated garage, not a cold windy mountain top. lol.

Well being a triple all i will say is there is NO replacement for DISPLACEMENT

It was all red with specialized plates on the tunnel. I guess it was a specialized sled. Pretty sure it was an XP, coulda been a Summit. Looked great and sounded mean. The guy was really cool. He let me use his tools at the bottom of the hill. To bad i didn't get a chance to look under his hood.

It probalby has a ski-doo 809/890 in it. Not big power but enuff.

would love to split 2 9 hundos and build a triple out of them...but im broke...and i actually figured out at haydays this year how much my sled was worth. I am too broke to mod it anymore, to broke to ride it, and cant afford to sell the damn thing...you wanna talk about up the creek without a paddle
