We all discussed our little ones starting into the recreational world... How bout the ones that had a hand toward our introduction.
Two people have played a big part for me. My brother BAD ASS & my Dad. My Dad now 75 yrs young is still somewhat of a sled head. He last rode on the big hills in 2003 & still would like to go somemore, Here is a picture.... Grampa (Gead) to GetRDone & the CHAMP.

Great story, my hats off to your dad. Not many people with that much experience under there belt, can get out and be that active good for him!

Great story. We ride with a guy quite regular that just bought a new 800R last season, and I believe he is about 65 years young. He can still outride alot of guys 1/2 his age. My bro-in-law and I call him "dad" in the mountains, last year we forgot our swim trunks on the first ride of the year.....but "dad" brought three pairs just in case.

That is a great photo... I believe I was there that ride. I call him Gedo (Ukran. for Grandfather).

I think he enjoys watching and just getting out and seeing his kids and grandkids riding. It pretty neat being able to share something like that with your grandfather.

That is AWESOME Shredder... That's just the way they are (Dad's). Guess we are like that also just have not thought about it.... See that box on the back of his sled, That is FOOD in there, Enough for everyone. I laugh cause my Mom fills it with those 2 lb sandwiches & a shot of scotch. Shredder any pics ? (Dad, Not the trunks) LOL.

Hats off to you for starting this post,My dad and yours would get along great I bet,He has been quading since the Honda trike first came out and it was sleds before that.He will be turning 74 next month and our fearless leader Ron influenced him well cause he just bought a Can-Am 800.There goes my inheritance.LOL!Dont have a pic of his Can-Am yet!

Yep; dad always has snacks for everyone. Age has no boundries on great sleddin' partners.

What an awsome post,hats off to all the dads out there.I only hope that I am able to ride with my kids when I'm in my seventys.

As a member of the golden class, I feel very lucky. I get to race MX with my children and grandchildren, quad with the whole brood, sled our faces off in the hills and even go on the occasional street bike tour. Does all this togetherness get old (sorry) ? Not a chance, I can't quite keep up on the track any more as the children and grandkids are at the pro level but I do still play in the nose bleed stuff with the kids in the winter. Carl Kuster is also a riding partner so you get the picture. Hats off to the rest of us old guys who still like to rip. Not RIP.

My dad was on a sled till he was about 72, knees bother him so he hasn't been riding for a few years but he is still a full time farmer. Grandkids are driving now so maybe he will start again.
