In the early 2000s a buddy of mine bought a continental cargo trailer used. Wrapped it with his company logo. Towed it around for six years. Registered, etc.. one morning he was warming up his truck to go sledding and it got stolen with the trailer. He was paid out for everything through insurance. A year later they found the trailer on a reserve in Sask. Serial number on the tongue didn’t match the frame. they came after him for having a stolen trailer. He insured and registered that trailer for years and it turns out it was stolen. Had to pay back his insurance company for the payout. What a kick in the nuts.
