I was curious if anyone knows if a Summit track 163", Will fit in place of a Apex 162". I think that the 1" length difference would not be an issue but are the drivers the same??

Drivers are differant, and a doo track will not fit unless you change the drivers. Depending on what year doo it will either be 2.52 pitch or 2.86 pitch.

Yamaha apex is 3.0 pitch.

What he said^^^. I think all the 163s are 2.86 pitch but regardless you'll have to swap to either 2.52 or 2.86. But the adjusters will take up the extra 1/2" of length, no problem.

I just completed the same set up on my apex no hitches, 2.86 pitch.
