Toyota Camry

Brother went to boost my moms Camry,, hooked up the battery wrong and pooched the battery. Put a new battery in it and it runs, backed it out of the garage and parked it.

Now it will start but wont move as it wont let it shift into gear, and none of the electronics work(windows, guages, door locks). I checked every fuse I could find and nothing

Could it be the alternator? Any ideas would help.....

the same thing happened to one of my neighbors. he had to get it towed in to the dealer. It was just a relay but we couldnt figure it out. call the dealership and tell them what happened. they might know exactly what it is. it took them 5 minutes to fix his car.

Yup, fuse for the alternator is gone. Went to pull it out and the case just broke in my hand. Now I have two prongs sticking out of where the fuse should be and cant get them out, dont know if they soldered themself in there or what

vw used to bolt some of the bigger fuses in ....not sure just saying
