The very first rides of 2006 through 2010 with dates for "opening day" of each year.
Some years the snow is deeper than others and some years the thrill is amazing!
The feeling is hard to describe, so sit back and enjoy and imagine your first ride of the season......

An added note; these were all "the first tracks up top" in these particular years. In other words, for 5 years in a row these were the first sleds up to Koko Claims/Mear Lake.

That's the nice thing about living close! I hated planning trips months in advance as it's always a crap shoot for hitting good conditions. We have been pretty lucky but there has also been a lot of socked in days.

I swear I could smell the 2 stroke, gave me a body rush. Curious, how much damage in those 5 first rides.

That's the interesting part! We ride those places all the time and pretty much know where the rocks and stumps are. On the machines that were in the videos, there was no carnage!

If there is a newbie or someone not as familiar with the area as we are, it is almost guaranteed that there will be some damage.

Nice pics and vids, I hope I can get out that early this season!! Fingers crossed and doing the snow dance!!!

This is a different September being +30C for the first 3rd of the month; haven't seen it like this since I've been here (11 years). Snow dance isn't into my brain quite yet as I've too much work to doo before the snow flies. We really don't have a lot of leaves turning color yet. Even the hunters are complaining about it being too hot for the meat.

So you keep dancing up there and I'll think about you for the next month or two........

Thanks, that would be awesome to be kept in the loop to when the snow flys down there, I am waiting for my snow check order to come in so I am soooo excited to get out as early as I can. I hear ya on the warm temps, I had to move my bear hunt dates because of the weather, but its looking up cause it was -4 here in Fort Mac this morning!!! Thanks again for the reply
