They work great as it low you to use more of your thumb and even part of the plam of your hand or if you use the thumb throttle like normal it increases your leverage.
My wife could not ride a full day with out a lot of pain until I put one on her outlnder

Someone on here once said to swing your throttle leaver around so instead of pushing it with your thumb you pull it toward you with your fingers. Just have to rotate it. I hear you about the thumb being sore. 5+ hours and its sore as heck!

I put one on the old ladys king quad and she says it helps her out a lot. Its removable so when ages in technical stuff she says she has more throttle control without it.

I just wonder why there is no throttle on the left side of the handles as well.... Would sure make it easier if you got stuck, sometimes to gota rock it to one side and that happens to be where no throttle is.....

I have always thought about putting a gold finger that they have for sleds on my quad for that exact reason but don't know if I could.

I put a a gold finger on my KQ and it works great although I need to get it out more often. I suggest that you keep the safety pin in the gold finger until you think you need it...it will keep you out of trouble.

I also put an extender on my throttle works great except for one small mishap. I was out plowing the back alley this winter and I left my quad in reverse and jumped off to do something. When I went to get on I inadvertently leaned against my extended throttle, while my quad was in reverse with one leg in the air. Needless to say my upper body went over the bars while my one leg kept pouring on the fuel. Scared the crap out of me.:nono:

Intresting, thanks.

Not sure that would work on my bike, I already have two levers on the left side, brake and diff lock. Good idea though!

depending on how its desinged , you could just cut / replace the spring to make it weaker .

no motorbike suggested a twist throttle yet?

I was thinking about a twist throttle as well but I received some sage advice from an old friend that a twist throttle on a quad, could also be dangerous but now I can't remember why... damn it I hate when that happens.

Oh ya, it has to do with the rolling and pitching that quad does. A bike will only pitch in one axis generally while a quad is always rocking and swaying. A twist throttle is OK if you are prepared for all this movement but put a greenhorn on your quad and you could have an accident in a hurry.
