I just don't get it? The Snowmobile club has worked with the Government for over 30 years regarding Caribou issues and where to ride. We have worked with area closures, posted numerous signs, sent out newsletters and handed out phamplets, run a snow patrol program, educated sledders, go to countless meetings, and what happens? Those Caribou walk right past the closure signs and graze right in the middle of the sled trails. I guess we will just have to hire a biologist to figure out how to close our riding areas to Caribou so we don't get forced out of extinction. Maybe the government can slide us a little cash so we can study this problem.
What do you think?
I hope you can see a little humor here and enjoy the beautifull mountians that we ride on.

Greg did you get a chance to ask that carabou if he enjoyed the tracks you put down for him?

Wish I was there, how was the snow?

That calf/young cow looks dangerous....quick grab a gun and defend yourself.

Mmmm...looks like tastey roasts, garlic sausage and jerky lingering around there in an out of bounds area.:d

I do not see these mountain users displaying the correct trail pass and/or membership sticker on their antlers. Furthermore, it is appalling to see no evidence of proper avalanche safety gear in the photos.

we are our own worst enemies....all our activity and noise has scared the predators away, mainly the wolves and the cougars, and it is now a safe haven for those fine animals to just "veg" out. They can lay around chewing their cud in peace and have nice packed snow to travel around on saving energy!

How do we get the helicopters to quit doing counts and radio collars frightening the p*ss out of the poor magnificent creatures?

Nice pictures and they sure don't very scared of you or the sled....:xmas-smiley-018::xmas-smiley-018:
