and the start of the winter coming. forgot I had this in my camera from may 29/10 with modman and shawnmac on our last ride of the year with camera in brake hand, right on the throttle, and eyes peeled for blue patches. It was a great day except for a case of the vertigo.

hate it, when your technical ability reveals your age.:d. but your physical ability disguises it.;)

HAHA that was a great day! really happy you and the camera didn't end up in the drink - for those peeps watching closely you will see the standing water in the trenches as he crosses the lake and the blue patches at each end, it was creepy enough just crossing the lake with that much water on top, but nothing like slush cuppin' it with a camera in one hand - that takes steady fingers, talent and balls!

Whether it is over flow, spring run off, or thin ice, it is just a little scary.

Reminds me of two things......using a sled on thin ice is way better than walking (weight dispersement is great), and one doesn't want to get stuck in over flow (been there, done that, and don't want to doo it again!!)

Interesting video to say the least.....

It was way scarrier in person...I hate slushy lake crossings!

Love that trench picture! That would be a decent thread...who's got the picture of the deepest trench!
