I'm certain everyone has one of those "hmmm" moments from time to time - mine always happens when I look in the classifieds, whether on here or kijiji, etc. Why do people advertise "balance of factory warranty" on their modified sled? It is my understanding that modifying your sled (head, pipe, turbos, etc) void the manufacturer's warranty, so is the warranty being provided by a 3rd party vendor? By the seller? Cause it sure isn't by the manufacturer. Another good question is why do people mod their sled, then subsequently complain if they have a failure that the manufacturer won't cover, as the original design has been tampered with... It costs money to play this game folks, so if you are buying or selling a modded sled, please understand the warranty is VOID, and making a claim against a modded sled is FRAUD. This concludes today's lesson, flame away.

I've completely given up on used items. Just going to suck it up until I can afford new. Been burned so many times and the stuff that's out there on kijewjew and the liars trying to get top dollar for there crap is a joke.

That's only 2 things and both aren't really mods are they? As the skis are just factory replacements

The sad thing is that for us that are selling good stuff all we get is low balling losers!

I buy used everything. Used dirt bikes, sleds, trucks, cars, boats, trailers, campers, street bikes. Buy something that is a year or 2 old and let the sucker who bought it new take the 40% depreciation.

Then you get a nearly new toy that you can in turn sell in a few years and almost get what you paid for it in the first place. I have been swapping toys like this for years and never really had to add more money to the fun account.

As for warranty it seems that it is so hard to get a dealer to pay up and honor a warranty that it is hardly worth it. It seems they always find something that voids the warranty.
