what ya mean?

Maybe you could be alittle specific on what you mean by theft in valemount.Did you have a machine stolen, or fuel ....maybe your whole truck and trailer? There is alot of theft there of all sorts because of the continual circulation of newbies to town and opportunity for scumbags to load up. I myself have been robbed of fuel there...but thats a story on its own.

Were they parked outside the gate.I will assume they were.Pretty crappy way to begin a season.Insurance is a joke so likely to lose at least 40% of value.Hope the dirtbags crash.

That Sucks

Really sorry to read about your loss. There is some conection between Prince George and missing sleds. I continue to hear about the trucks or trailers turning up in that area without the sleds. I find it hard to believe that the local PD hasn't caught onto what is happening with these sleds. Maybe it's just a transfer point, but someone has to be talking.

kgr, any chance of posting photos to better the chances of spotting these sleds. A lot of guys will be riding in the Valmont and McBride areas. Maybe you can get lucky.

Theft is one of the reasons I prefer to stay at B&B's in Valemount. You don't hear about thefts from them.

It makes me wonder if someone at the HI is "looking the other way."

Ouch

That sucks...

You said the truck was recovered in Prince. Any damage, did the RC's finger print it?

The truck and trailer were in the back, stolen before van moved across. Yes RCMP did fingerprint and found second stolen truck with same prints, They(RCMP) dont really seem to concerned about recovering our sleds. Which apparently are in Hongcouver. P.G. seems to be the hub of stolen sleds hear lots of sleds go to G.P.from there. The thieves returned truck after threatening phone call with different tires. Thieves drove right by front desk.

stolen properties

I've heard many a story about stolen trailers, trucks, sleds....... ouch.... Hard lesson to absorb here. Better remove the fuel pump relay, or fuse or something to help deter any thefts in future?? Should've had 'em insured, huh? If I only had a gun...........

GPS locater

You can add a GPS locator to the Trailer when you find out the truck and trailer are missing you go on the computer to a site and you can locate where it is and give that info to police. I will find out where mine is and foward the web address to everyone. It works out to about $850.00 for the devise, and about $165 per year for registration, and I think $ 2.00 per locate. Its all done through internet. This is a Canadian Company. You must have a large battery on your trailer with a backup battery as well.

Been going there a while and would find that hard to believe.I suppose you never know though!Did that rig have a security system in it.Would like to know if there getting past them as well,I got a high end security system but dont want to get a false sense of security.

Pullin' a fuse sounds like a good idea. I'd love to read a post about thieves caught in the act by the sled owners in the parking lot.....now that would make for some good reading.;) G.P.; as in Grande Praire?
