Are there any specials going on that people know about? I am looking for one for my '15 xm 800 and the lowest price I have found so far is $375 plus tax and shipping.
Thanks

Any one know what they used for sound control in these? Baffles or? Mine seems to have gotten quite a bit louder since I bought it, to the point I had to take it off and put the stock back on. Wondering if maybe something broke loose inside, thinking I might cut it open to see if I can fix it.
Doesn't that thing melt stuff under the hood? Wiring recoil etc?

Thanks, that is good feedback. Trying to decide which one to go with. I was reading somewhere that it was adding under the hood heat leading to belt failure. Can't remember if that was here or doo talk but thought that guy had quite an imagination. Almost as bad as the guy on here saying a lightweight can will throw the sled off balanceThat is interesting Bert. I've used one for years and on the XM's there was no problem. The 2015 T3 was the only one I had that melted anything. Cooked the rewind and melted a few wire covers before I noticed a problem. The reflective tape did the job and no more problems. On the G4's, there didn't seem to be a problem but I was pro-active and used the reflective tape as a precaution. Also installed some plastic baffles covered with reflective tape. Not a problem of either of the 2017's and we put over 4000 km on them.
Al put an external baffle on the new design (the 2017 model of theThing) and that in itself helps immensely.

Well, to be exact, if you take approx. 10 lbs off one side of the sled, it will affect the handling-somewhat- and a perfectionist would adjust his shock pressure on that side accordingly. Just saying.......
