It is totally a form of abuse.............why.................why.............do mature adults resort to this manner of punishment.......what happened to talking, communication............!?!?!?

In many cases I think the silent treatment occurs because many people are tired of voicing their issues with one another and never seeing any results from that communication. In other words, if those you are trying to settle issues with are continually ignoring you, why bother saying anything to begin with. It's part of my life.

I'm not a talker. I'm mad. Leave me alone and let me stew. I don't want to hash things out. I don't want to communicate constantly. I'm entitled to my emotions and feelings and don't need to have them talked, rationalized, shouted or bullied away. When I'm ready you will know it. If that's abuse, then too bad.

I was thinking more along the lines of when someone daily makes then choice to not talk to you never ask how your day was... This is super hurtful but i too would rather have a little space to think things over before saying something you can't take back. Lol

After awhile you have to ask yourself which one you would rather do/have......... a headache and get NOTHING solved or give them the silent treatment. You can do what you want but I know what im doin..........
