I was watching the news tonight and pulled out the calculator. 10 000 to 20 000 barrels of oil a day is what is calculated now. each barrel is 35 gallons (US) it it has been going for I think they said 53 days. is 18 550 000 to 37 100 000 us gallons in the ocean. they said it is like the val des spill every 8 days. I look at it this way. if a gas station holds 10 000 gallons of fuel it would be like 35 to 70 gas stations just dumping there fuel every day into the streets. that is alot of frickin fuel every where. sorry but just had to say that!

you may be right, i'm sure it is high. this stuff will be a long time to clean up, hurricane season is fast approaching and it will be out of control then. this stuff is nasty and alot of lives will be affected for a long time. class action lawsuits should start to appear soon.

I heard they are still cleanning up the exon valdez (spelling?) and that was how long ago? and this is 8 times bigger? and it still hasnt stopped? will it ever stop? this is going to be their way of hiking gas up to 5-10 bucks a liter? us guys with engines are going to be screwed!
