I`m excited to see and ride one... How does everyone feel about buying a completely redesigned atv in the first model year of its release? Should we give Polaris a year to work out all the bugs first or jump in with both feet???

LOL... Thats what I`m afraid of..... My 800 has spent more time in the shop than on the trail.... However, My 500 has been awesome, not a single problem with it.

yes know complaints about our 500 (of course i won it in a raffle) we even sank it completly and when we pulled it out and it started it spewed water out the pipe for about a minute and a half:d

Dry weight of nearly 800 pounds,so you put a rider with gear ,,easy 200 pounds,1000 #"s .That is heavy .Hope the winch is up to snuff..Oh Polaris ,don't forget the tow rope.LOL

800+ lbs. Better used as a boat anchor, might also need a warn 8000lb winch.
What are they thinking (smoking send us a lb.)

Probably still with the single brake set up POS or should I say Poo.

Well i'm not a Polaris fan but I have to say they produce some pretty decent machines. They may be heavier then the rest but the ride is second to none in most conditions. The new 850 has no more "struts" and has A arms like most other atvs which should shave a few pounds but really who cares? They are claiming 70 horse? Maybe enough to challenge the 800 Can-Am. Probably not enough to keep up with a AC T-Cat but at least Polaris is competeing even if the weight is a bit more than the rest.

i heard in a few shootouts that the new polaris outlaw 525 is better than the 700xx and the 700 raptor. but thats in all around. the raptor comes out on top for dunes and track and the xx is best for trails and the outlaw is the good for everything. i dunno for sure cause i aint rich enough for any of em!:d

polaris are tanks in my experiance. sadly once you go over about 600 lbs they all start to be tanks though. 1000lbs atv to me isnt somthing i run out to buy though.

for the 10+ grand we pay for these atv's and the relitivaly low amount of materials that actually go into them id like to see much ligher frames being used on them.

the first ATV manufacture that can make a Strong alum frame that doesnt corode from electrolosis for a UTILITY atv will sell millions most likely.

i duno the T-CAT didnt sell well maybe these companies will start to take a hint someday.

I have 2 polaris machines and they are terrible machines. Polaris dealers must do well because of all the parts and service they do. bought a can-am and what a difference. as good if not better ride, much lighter feel, haven't had it long enough to know if maintenece costs will be as crazy as on the polaris's or not.

Have you guys gotten to ride or see one yet? I have heard they are saying it is the best quad on the market today. I am finding that VERY hard to believe (since yes it is Polaris) is it still the same old crap they have been putting out or have they REALLY made a good one ???? After seeing all the reviews and hearing about people switching brands to get the new 850 XP, i'm even thinking about it, but am still afraid to only "way out i'll find " is the "way out to the shop to fix it " or the "way to the dealer".
Should i jump in and take the chance ????????
