:dunno:Looking to trade up from my 04 Summit 800 to a 10 Renegade Backcountry X 800 that I was just offered for a great deal. Plan on trying the mountain thing only a couple times, but also love the trail scene. Need some advice if I should pick up the Renegade or stay with the Summit. Thoughts? Recommendations greatly appreciated. Need to spend money soon lol. Snows coming.

what size track is under the renegade backcountry? 146 x16? it will most likely be more than you need, sure you won't go as far in the pow pow as some might like, but it will be one he!! of a good time on a trail, at least thats my take on it.

137 X 16 X 1.75" and more track speed than you will believe.

please dont buy a gade. then next season you will be on here asking how much it will cost to extend your gade from a 137 to a 154 and where you can get the parts. see it too much.

get a summit 146 or 154 and if you REALLY love the trails get the extended a-arm kit for better stability.

it costs 400$ to go from a 137 to a 154 from the factory but will cost you 1500+ to do it to your gade

Exactly, I have a 09 gade with a 141x2.25 track. Can't say I don't love it or that it doesn't get me where I wanna go, because it gets me anywhere I want. But I do with I would have bought a 154. Maybe next year.
