Now that the snowmobile season is on its way out, and not everyone is in the poisition or wants to upgrade their sled. What kinds of mods are people going to be doing over the summer? Mild to wild! Let's see some before and after pic too!

I WAS thinking of modding out my sled with a 151" track, pipe, reeds, simmons ski's.... etc. but this is probably going to be my last season with this sled, so I think i'll save my money for a new(er) sled.

i have a 08 rmk 700 and hoping to get $9000 for it next winter to buy an 800 rmk for $12000 but i am thinking boondocker @ areo charger have the new pump gas 91 octane turbo for $5000 (40 to 50 horse power) and thinking for the extra $2000 i should just go that way this way i still have the 190 horse at altitude (what would you do)

Just finished doing my first porting job (ZR 800). That was a learning experience! Some cosmetic and weight saving mods to the ZR 800, and a few cosmetic/clutching changes to the Crossfire.

I hope no project for me, too busy.
But, if someone wants to rebuild a 600Ho for a 2004 summit x, the whole thing is for sale.

I think someone should drop a 1000 into it.

new parts i'm adding
boost controller
better boards
hand guards
new track
possibly front/rear timbersled suspension
add rubber elbow to turbo inlet to prevent ice buildup
bigger fuel tank (10 gallon vrs 7 gallon)
vent kit

old parts i'm repairing to due damage
new headlight and support frame, will probably change to projectors to avoid future issues
bend steering shaft straight, if it cracks or otherwise fails then i'll buy a new chromoly one
reinforce sidepanel so it does get pushed into the clutch

I like having money pits it seems, lol.

thank you, but my tunnel has a bit of a kink or should I say fold on the foot boards where your right foot would be is is folded up an inch kinda like the pic with the can, so I need a bit more than a front end lol. what about a chassis?
I wish it was a pine cone instead of a pine mountain, I usualy just blow threw the cones lol. I wish I could get the track to turn so I could go for a rip on the lake and if it sank Who would ever know.....
thanks man!

Probably have a few parts powder coated black to match the rest of my sled but mostly she's ready to go.

It's lake season so my focus changes to the lake and the boat real soon. I'm in the process of refurbishing my boat so I have a lot of work to complete.

Are you talking summer project on the sled or otherwise? LOL

Sled: new springs front and rear, refresher on the motor, maybe go one size up on the pistons, paint the pipes and re-cover my seat with a new fabric(possibly do some colour on it), few minor things here and there.

The "new" summer project is the hillclimb bike I have just started. Custom rear swingarm (extended out 2.5 feet), Yamaha front end, powered by a Kawasaki Ninja street bike motor, Skat TraK rubber paddle or chain paddle rear tire. If I can find a decent system for a good price it will be on NOS, but will be waiting to see if we need the "easy" button until after preliminary testing is done and determine just how much of a death machine this will really be.

I needed something for the summer that rivals my sled in the winter. I'll post some pics once the back end is on, right now its kinda ugly (just the front end, no tank and no plastic).

Gonna Drop and roll and put a 159"! It needs new rings so maybe pistons as well. oh and some black side panels cause I'm tired of cleaning the yellow ones.
