The county of Strathcona held a special meeting on Sept 27/07 to review the "Open Space and Recreational Facility Strategy"
This report is a review of the next 20 years of recreation in the County of Strathcona and NO WHERE in the study does it have anything on motorized recreation, any where.
Why - there has been no complaints or request to have motorized recreation promoted in the County.
The horsy people make 10 times more noise to have horse trails than motorized people do.
If you ever want to see any motorized recreation in your county you had better call your councillors NOW or might just as well move to another county.
With the election coming now is the time to pressure your councilors on:
- what is there stand on snowmobiles
- do they approve of a corridor through the County.
- Would they support one corridor through the county from Elk Island Sales to Ministik for all county residents to use. This corridor will allow the residents to get to Saskatchewan and British Columbia by way of the TransCanada Snowmobile Trail.
We have riding in the counties of Leduc Camrose and Beaver so if you want to ride let your councilor know.
